combine has supported Basler AG in the construction of the new extension building since the start of the project. In addition, combine was also involved in the introduction of a new working environment.

Since 2016, combine has been advising the Basler AG at the company headquarters in Ahrensburg for a wide range of real estate decisions. The starting point was the integration of the planned new building into the existing building. combine represented the company in design and usage optimization, the participatory planning process for the new building and the introduction of the new working environments. The scope of tasks also included user representation vis-à-vis the client and the building trade executing the construction project. After the topping-out ceremony in September 2021 and the commissioning of the building in summer 2022, all departments moved into the new company building in spring 2023.

Integration of the new building into the existing building.

The Stormarn-based company, a leading provider of high-quality image processing components for computer vision applications, has added an extension to its company building at its headquarters near Hamburg. The six-storey building comprises around 8,300 m² gross floor area and provides office workplaces for around 385 employees. Both buildings are connected via the newly constructed food counter and the plaza on the first floor. The multifunctional plaza offers employees and visitors enough space for lunch and work as well as for holding events or larger conferences.

Planning and workshops with employees.

When introducing the new office concept, which was developed through a participatory planning process with a large number of employees and managers, the existing building was also included alongside the new building. By involving the future users, combine was able to ensure that the specific requirements were mapped in the best possible way in both buildings.

With the new building, we are investing in a very
attractive and highly modern working environment for
our current and future colleagues. Even though we have had positive experiences with virtual collaboration in recent months, our buildings remain the central location for maintaining our corporate culture and team spirit, which are a key component of our success.
