Giesecke & Devrient is an international group that offers customized security technologies in four main areas: Payment, Connectivity, Identity and Digital Infrastructure.
The structural and organizational changes associated with technological change have had a significant impact on the G+D led to a critical review of the functionality and operational necessity of the 100,000 m² of existing properties owned by the company. In this context, combine provided G+D with strategic real estate consulting services in 2015 to determine the future orientation and operational requirements. Location strategy "GDM location 2018"
Based on a future-oriented analysis of the needs and requirements of the various organizational units, different purchase and rental options for buildings outside the company premises were compared with the utilization potential of properties no longer required for operations.
Various scenarios were developed on the basis of and in combination with sound economic feasibility studies and functional potential analyses and brought to the G+D committees for a decision. The result is today's own project development "DER bogen" on the western part of the company site, where around 42,000 m² of high-quality, modern working environments will be created by the end of 2023, thus realizing completely new value creation potential.
