combine supported Takeda from the decision to relocate to the new “Forum” property until the move-in, at the end of 2021.

The German sales organization of Takeda, a research and biopharmaceutical company headquartered in Japan, moved into its new location in the capital city at the end of 2021. The "Forum im Wirtschaftswunder" office and commercial building offers about 300 employees a sustainable new activity-based work environment occupying some 6,000 square meters of space. The building is a part of the new Wirtschaftswunder office and commercial complex on Potsdamer Strasse in Berlin Schoeneberg.

Our consulting services included the following:

  • Determination of quantitative, qualitative, and functional requirements and analysis of needs
  • Support during the transaction process up to signing the lease agreement, including reviewing the properties for a long-term rental decision
  • Developing new work environments for a sustainable office space concept
  • User representation and coordination during the entire construction period
  • Development of an interior design concept with furniture planning: combine developed the interior architecture design, created and arranged the RFP for all cabinet and finish carpentry work and movable furnishings, and assisted with the move-in process
  • Organizing the relocation planning

The design concept for the new Takeda office space combines the company’s Japanese heritage with local influences from the Berlin location and responds individually to the surrounding parts of the building, which date to different centuries.

The complex “Im Wirtschaftswunder”, located on the former Commerzbank property, underwent extensive renovation and modernization work before it was reoccupied. About 27,000 square meters of modern office space were created, along with some 3,000 square meters of retail and dining space on the ground floor of the “Forum” section. Other parts of the complex are the new building, “Zentrale,” and the existing building, “Kontor.”
