Moving into the EDGE Grand Central Berlin in the Europacity development

In December 2020, Scout24 affiliate ImmoScout24, Germany’s leading online platform for residential and commercial real estate, moved into the EDGE Grand Central Berlin in the Europacity development, right near Berlin’s main train station. The Scout24 Group rented nearly 14,000 m² of office space in the new building from project developer EDGE Technologies to accommodate about 800 employees. EDGE Grand Central Berlin in der Europacity, direkt neben dem Hauptbahnhof, bezogen. Im Neubau des Projektentwicklers EDGE Technologies hat die Scout24-Gruppe für rund 800 Mitarbeitende knapp 14.000m² Bürofläche angemietet.

Im Rahmen der Bedarfsanalyse, Objektsuche und Anmietung wurde das Unternehmen von Colliers International Deutschland und combine beraten. combine hat die Scout24-Gruppe auch nach Mietvertragsabschluss umfassend und im Schulterschluss begleitet: vom Projektmanagement bzw. der Nutzervertretung bis zum Interior Design der identitätsstiftenden neuen Arbeitswelten.

Setting new standards in the office property segment

With the completion of the Grand Central Berlin, project developer EDGE Technologies has set new standards in the office property segment. Spanning about 23,000 m² on nine stories, the property offers diversity in every respect:

Alongside the exclusive office and working space rented by tenants Scout24 and ORACLE, there is also a central dining area and co-working and meeting spaces.

Dank seiner ökologisch nachhaltigen Bauweise und Energieeffizienz wurde das Gebäude von der DGNB mit „Platin“ ausgezeichnet und hat als erstes Gebäude in Deutschland das „WELL Gold Core & Shell“ Vorzertifikat des International Well Building Instituts (IWBI) für seine außergewöhnliche Konzeption zur Schaffung gesünderer Arbeitsumgebungen und zur Steigerung des Wohlbefindens der Nutzer:innen erhalten.

The IT infrastructure

Die IT-Infrastruktur ermöglicht komfort- und effizienzsteigernde Anwendungen aus dem Internet of Things (IoT): So können Mitarbeiter:innen über die Gebäude-App Umgebungsparameter wie zum Beispiel Beleuchtung, Belüftung oder Temperatur entsprechend des eigenen Wohlbefindens individualisieren.
